4-H Club

Open to fourth through eighth graders, the school’s 4-H club is part of the largest national out of school youth program in the United States, with over 7 million members nationwide. In addition to 4-H sponsored events, the club sponsors service projects to benefit both the school and community.

National Junior Beta Club

Membership in the Junior Beta Club is by invitation only, based on a student's academic performance. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade CCS students with a minimum 3.0 GPA (with no grade below a “C”) during the previous school year are invited to join the club. All members must maintain a 3.0 GPA during the school year. The Beta Club goals are to promote academic excellence and assist the community and school through service projects. The club also participates in the annual Junior Beta Convention.

Student Council

Student Council is made up of class-elected representatives who help promote school spirit and leadership among the student body. Any junior high student who maintains an A/B average in conduct and no lower than a C in all other subjects is eligible to run for class representative. Student Council sponsors a variety of school-wide activities throughout the year.

Book Club

The Book Club is open to 5th - 8th grade students interested in reading. The club reads 3 books a year, beginning in the 2nd quarter. Upon completion of each book, students meet for a discussion, snack, and usually complete a "book themed" art project to have a memento from the read.

Drama Club

Each year, our junior high students have the opportunity to audition and participate in our school play in the spring. Our goal is to give the students an opportunity to experience live theater and a chance to express their creativity by performing in front of a live audience. Our most recent productions have been The Lion King, Shrek Jr. - The Musical, and The Wizard of Oz.

Music Ministry

Our Music Ministry program allows students to spread the Word of God through song and praise. Students in 2nd through 8th grade are encouraged to sign up. These students sing at our school Masses and also have the opportunity to participate in community events.

Robotics

The CCS Robotics team is created in conjunction with our Junior Beta Club. These students develop skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving through active exploration of real-world challenges.

Sader Ambassadors

The Sader Ambassador Committee is a service and leadership group composed of select 8th grade students. These chosen students should possess the following characteristics: strong leadership skills, the ability to work independently and responsibly, and a strong moral character. The committee will meet as a class during school hours twice weekly and receive elective course credit. These students will work alongside faculty, staff and fellow students to assist, collaborate and promote various projects and events throughout the school year.
